Need to do some PHP for my class next week, problem is I hate PHP so I just distracted myself and wrote a bunch of Ruby code today...

Learn laravel, it might make you happy about PHP. Yes its possible, I hated PHP before I knew laravel, nowadays I use it for so much.

So you guys might help me regarding my last (!rant)-Rant ... 🙈

@Levy do some Ruby, use Sinatra to make something simple or try rails for some complexity.

Sadly I'm doing web design, so either way I'm stuck with PHP at least for the rest of this year ;-;

I think having to write code in languages you dislike is a good educational resource. At college I had to write something in Small talk. I hated it, and I learned a lot about the antecedents of object oriented language design.
