Magento, it's in the same category for me as drupal, joomla, WordPress,... Bloated, slow, general pain to work with... No learning sources, cap of a 'documentation'...

I have tried on three separate occasions to pick up Magento. It is difficult and confusing beyond description. When your ecommerce tries to be all things to all men across the world, you know it's going to bloat. And the infrastructure requirements were bonkers.

Is there any public CMS which is good? I just started with OctoberCMS which is build with Laravel but the setup documentation is pretty shit.

In a previous rant I called Magento a throbbing pain in the ass.

I was just starting learning it back then.

After some months I spent working with it, I think my statement was too polite.

Also the documentation is absolute shit because they offer a certification program (that is of course extremely overpriced).
