Idea Guy repellent:

Next time they tell you that they have a billion dollar idea and want you to build it, don't get angry.

Just point them to a code learning website and tell them if their idea is truly worth a billion dollar then they should spend the time learning the tech.

Then laugh as other idea guys come to them with ideas about their billion dollar apps while the rest of us are finally left alone.

    I wish. The Idea Guy in my life is convinced that it's 'too late' for him to learn to do things himself, so he's doing me a mercy by giving me all these ideas for a 'million dollar app'.

    Literally pointed friends at coding websites and even offered to teach them some things.

    Friend: yeah I'll get right on that mate

    6 weeks later you ask for a progress up date

    "I've got another idea I want you to build, were going to be rich"

    Just say "thanks for the idea, I've never thought of that!". Then follow up with "I'll give credit to you in my Forbes bio for giving me the idea!"

    This is exactly what I did when I had my "billion dollar idea". I went through lots of books and tutorials in order to build my app.

    Was totally worth it learning all these interesting technologies. Now I'll see if my idea really was a "billion dollar idea" or not
