Going to interview a candidate for front end dev position today, my first ever interview as an interviewer... you guys got any tips?

Use easy words so he can give you all the information you need to know. Cause fear and stress can make a communication problem.

If you are going to make technical interview, I suggest split the questions to 30/70. 30% of questions must be theory, and 70% give him a lap top, and some exercise to develop.
I would say do it 20/70 but it is your choice.
