Nvidia has always had issues with their drivers. I stopped using them about 10 years ago and went to AMD. Just recently decided to try Nvidia again, because AMD runs so hot. I have a 1070. Performance wise, it's good, but I'm not impressed with the graphics quality. Will probably go back to AMD at some point, and just get a liquid cooling setup for the GPU.

@iAmNaN what do you mean graphics quality? I've always heard this about AMD being better at Quality vs Nvidia being better on Performance, but I don't really see a difference

@DRHAX34 things like reflection, fog, sharpness, frame rate, pixellation; things you would notice in a game like fallout or crysis, not necessarily day to day computing. Nvidia opts for ok graphics and good performance, while AMD opts for good graphics, while trying to maintain performance. The result is that AMD cards have run much hotter than Nvidia cards. My Nvidia is good, but only marginally better than the older AMD R9 280 that I replaced.

Since the last years Intel and NVIDIA just released shit to milk the customer.
AMD does it right. They combine 2 CPU Die together and give a shit on size.

Installed on my 2x 980 TI SLI the newest Nvidia Driver 384.76.
Played games on it and some Video Editing. Noticed that I have bad laggs and checked clocks.
Wow clocks were locked at half the max Output. Checked if I can do anything to increase it, nope it's locked at half the Performance.
Tried to install previous Driver, install failed. Went 2 Drivers back and installed the 382.33.
Everything worked again.
WTF are the guys at NVIDIA coding while being drunk?? How the fuck can you lock the powertarget of the GPU at half the Performance and after 4 days not releasing a hotfix? Are they testing this shit even or forcing it into production?
Currently NVIDIA has really crappy drivers and with every update it gets even worse.
And the only option you got is GPU's from NVIDIA and AMD. And Vega is not even released yet.
Hope that AMD will beat the shit out of NVIDIA...
