X.Org is fucking old.

I'm using Wayland (and sway wm), but cut-copy-paste into a terminal isn't working and that's driving me insane.

@bearcatsandor I would use Wayland if the fucking propietary drivers from NVIDIA would support Mesa. KWin (KDE Compositor) does not support and will not support EGLStreams.

Generally the video server and sound sucks in Linux and has sucked since the start.

Linux sucks tl;dr.

@Wholteza actually Wayland works well, pulseaudio works fine. If you want a pro sound server use Jack.

I'm looking forward to trying wayland.

But the thing with pulseaudio is that it works automagically, but when it doesnt there hardly isnt any documentation. That's where alsa shines, but it needs alot more configuration.

I was running Wayland with GDM on my arch box until recently, went back to X since I was getting some weird display server crashes and whatnot. Works great now.

Gentoo user here. Makes it easier to try new things (and gives me lots if practice fixing things was I screw them up)
