@nblackburn is that before or after all the Devs used box knifes to detach his head from his neck?

@nblackburn To his credit, it's been years, yes years, since a box cutter accident. Warehouse had one of those 'X days no accident' signs. They had to change it because it wasn't big enough to fit the number of days once it got into the hundreds. He's an asshole about stuff like that, but he does his job well.

@gloslistan There are 3 approved box cutters, each with different types of blades. 'Training' was how to change the blades, what types of cutter would you use on what kinds of boxes, what to do with dull blades, when to change blades (waiting until you think the blade is dull is already too late, blades are cheap, and dull blades cause accidents). I had no idea how in depth box cutter training could be. Interesting, but completely useless. :)

Most ridiculous meeting I've been in? Sooo many. Here is the first.
Mandatory box knife safety meeting. Why? We worked in the same building as the warehouse, and the safety manager made it mandatory everyone in the building be trained.
We walk into the meeting...
Trainer: "What are you guys doing here? You're developers."
Bob: "Adam said this meeting is mandatory for everyone."
Trainer: "Yea, but not you guys. You'll never touch a box knife. Just a sec, let me run out and find Adam."
<2 minutes later>
Trainer: "Sorry guys, Adam is not budging. He said everyone and that includes developers."
