avedis32778ydefine "better programmer"...
personal opinion as a senior and company owner: i dont look for grades in interviews, i look for problem solvers. how much you have excelled in a programming language does not justify how good a programmer you are, it's just a tool.
if youre a junior as u say you are, then keep your hopes up, buddy... you have forever to be better. fuck competition, just look after youself n youre good to go :D -
sh7na1368y@magis totally understand what you feel. The first 6 months I totally felt the all the other devs were superior but now I slowly am harvesting the experience to pivot that feeling. Although I will never feel that i have surpassed some of the senior developers that have been in company much longer than me. I have much more confidence in myself. So dont worry. It will come.

uxmedic2158yThis i a classic thing, I think everybody knows that feeling. The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know. As long as you use that to strive to get better, it's a good thing. I've been working for 15+ years and still feel like that from time to time.

magis22818yOh wow so it's really a thing. That's very reassuring, I was beginning to doubt myself. Like I said I do well and get good grades I just feel always a step behind. Good to know I'm not alone!

musikele1178yI ended University with the maximum vote but without any real program /website completely built.
I started to work thinking I was stupid.
After 4 years of work I really know what a stupid is... Not me for sure 😂😂😂 -
As soon as I started feeling good about myself compared to my colleagues, I started paying attention to the other devs in the online community. Never recovered.
Imposter Syndrome 'til I die, fools! -
sudouser6818y@magis naw don't worry. Master the foundations and you'd be able to pick up any programming languages and for the rest just be able to look up what you want to do with the code and modify that to your liking (or clients).
10+ years in Dev/Design/Ops.
In our world things are constantly changing but if you know how they work it doesn't really matter.
Best of luck!
Guys, how often do you feel inferior to your colleagues? I'm just thinking since I've just finished first year of uni, and although I got a solid top grade, I can't help but feel that every other person in the year is a much better programmer and it kinda makes me feel like a fraud. Anybody else in university/school feel like that?
