Who else noticed Jetbrains is selling the exact fucking same IDE a bunch of times with different plugins? Intellij Idea is essentially the same IDE as Gogland or PHPStorm, just with different plugins, yet they want money for every single IDE separately...

    Nothing stops you from buying only idea and then add plugins to it

    yes, their platform is that good. Also Android Studio is based on it.
    Same thing with eclipse, although I never saw it as stable..

    Yes, it's convenient.
    Every IDE is optimised for some language.

    You can also just buy IDEA Ultimate for all languages support, but IMHO it's slower and more bloated than let's say PhpStorm or RubyMine

    @all I wasn't trying to be mean or anything, I just wanted to post it here. No need to be pissed lol. Although they could sell each plugin individually, but that's another story.

    Yeah, they are all based on the same core with different language modules installed.
