@Kimmax not really, all it took is to upgrade debian jessie to stretch, that fucked the radron drivers. Went on to windows to recover my files so I can reinstall, accidentally filled my desktop with vim plugin files and couldn't use the taskbar or desktop anymore as it would constantly crash

Not really ruined. Can still be fixed. Just boot to shell / single user and remove / blacklist the broken kernel module. After that mount the windows partition and clean up the mess you made
???
Profit -
Guess debian can be recovered, for windows 10, this probably was an indication for you to abandon it.
-
@Kimmax I'm new to linux so I have no idea what to do with the kernel. That was a fresh debian install anyways, only 3 days old, so I decided to wipe and install stretch
-
@sachin38 I know, I hate Windows but couldn't be bothered switching my desktop to linux, especially since my old monitor has so weird colour issues
-
@jpichardo yep completely wiped the partition, shrinked my storage volume to give me a little more space and installed a stretch image right away instead of jessie and update to stretch. Only issue is my old monitor is crap and with the open source amd driver instead of fglrx the colours are even worse than they usually are, and hurt my eyes because of how cold they are..
-
@jpichardo they have a lot of blue, but my usual settings have reduced blues and a little more reds, making them warmer. It's kind of like installing f.lux except it doesn't look like complete shit
-
It seems to be late now, but you could try running windows in safe mode to resolve the issue.
I just ruined both my windows 10 and debian OS :)
