Why does Chromes sometimes suck balls when it comes to caching and reloading updated files on the backend web server?

Sometimes I get stuck in a state where I don't get the whole F-ing site refreshed... until I open a new virgin browser who's never been touched by the web code.

Why can't refresh .. .just REFRESH?

GRRRR

    ctrl+f5?

Or tick the [Disable cache] checkbox in the Chrome's devtools Network tab

I was too certain this was AoK and chrome was just a misspelling.

    Wrong cache-control headers?

@netikras yes, just doing F5 should not refresh everything.

While Ctrl F5 disables browser cache, it won't remove cookies, local storage, etc.

I find that most of the time these issues happen they come from those.

Ended up adding a shortcut to nuke everything from low orbit.

I found that holding CTRL+R will refresh with the new changes.

Yes. It's the simple things they don't tell you that can make you feel like a total idiot.
