[classmate]: Yeah sure. Okay, I see.
*classmate takes control of the keyboard*
[me]: wait-
[classmate]: see if you ju- wait, huh, what? Why can't I type?
[me]: sorry, I use vim.
[classmate]: this is stupid, you should use sublime it's so good

    Out of curiosity, why are you using vim?

    @ChrisCooney I love not having to ever take my hands off the keyboard

    ***vim is the best****

    @ChrisCooney why aren't you?

    I use VIM if I've ssh'd into a box, but as a matter of choice I just like some of the more complex IDEs that handle some of the crap for me, rather than doing everything myself. Matter of choice I guess. I was just curious!

    @ChrisCooney exactly that.. ssh means you have to switch windows between your IDE and terminal. why do that when you can do all that on the terminal anyway... one of the great benefits..

    @ryuzaki17 this is very true. This ties into never having to take your hands off the keyboard. Truly beautiful

    I feel obligated to jump in and say "emacs".

    I must say I've never got along with vim very well. aka I tried it for 10 mins before tearing my hair out.

    @bt141516 you see that's your problem, it takes quite a bit more time than 10min. Also u have to want to learn, not feel like you have to learn,

    @hackedranger Thank! It always worries me when a flame war doesn't start. It's like everyone suddenly grew up or something.

    Anyway, MS word is the best IDE.

    To be fair I was only having a play about with it as I normally use sublime text for my web dev work and visual studio all day for C# so ultimately it's just personal preference and vim just doesn't do it for me.
