Ah yes, that moment—when you either want to die laughing or sob uncontrollably—but can't figure out which is most appropriate. #SegfaultIRL

@kgeorge81 Try doing both in rapid succession—maybe, just maybe, you'll throw of the PM's long enough to make a run for the exit. GODSPEED! haha

ddephor45117yI like those kick-off meetings where PM says the new project is like project x we did some time ago. And after the presentation of the system concept you start asking
Q: "What about feature A, that sounds a bit different"
A: "Oh, that is different, yes"
Q: "What is this feature B, seems we don't have that in project x"
A: "Yes, that's a new feature"
Q: "What about interface C, is it identical to interface Z of project x?"
A: "The interface is similar, but to another system that uses it slightly different"
etc., etc.
And at the end you have a project estimated on the effort to reuse existing stuff, where really 80% have to be build from scratch.
Sitting in a meeting with the dev team planning our project and thinking to myself "we are completely fucked"
