    much like sex, regex seems simple at the beginning, becomes confusing halfway through and releases a big dopamine shot in your brain once it's done.

    Also, both are disgusting after they're done.
    Regex is also disgusting in the process.
    Please, use a parser combinator if your use case requires a regex expert.
