How much does a website cost ?

This handy tool (http://howmuchdoesawebsiteco.st/) easily calculate the cost of a website. But, do you find these prices reasonable ?

    Fairly basic website they want $17k... No, I don't consider that reasonable, especially since I could hire someone for about 6months for that much

    Oh well, if they want to shoot themselves in the foot by charging extortionate prices then so be it.

    In a perfect world where clients, PMs and so on understand this tool is just a rule of thumb kind of thing, yeah.

    But something tells me it will inevitably lead to a "but I saw a different price on that website".
