I have an OPO and been looking to upgrade to Nougat for awhile. Think it's supposed to have a lot of improvements including better battery stats and control?

Was looking at LineageOS but it's still on nightlies... Are there any other ROMs that are stable?

And is N worth an upgrade or should I just wait for O? I'm on CM13 atm.

    At this point in time, I would wait for a new device to release with Android O from factory, no point upgrading to N if O is not far around the corner.

    But that is just my personal opinion seeing I run a nexus 6p that has stock.

    @BigMacca101 my OnePlus One is perfectly fine so not planning on buying a new device for hopefully a free more years. I just want to upgrade for improvements and maybe some new features.

    Nightlies are for daily driver. You'll get a stable build for N when the O's Nightlies start to roll out.

    @codeblood ok so there's no other ROM that is stable using N?

    @SlyCoopers so I should go for it? Install N? Anything good tho other than security fixes? I was searching a bit yesterday, seems there are reports the battery is even worse...

    I currently have xPosed and Magisk on mine, that's also another cost.. could get xposed for M for awhile...

    @SlyCoopers I like to live on the edge haha, nah I just format my nexus every few months along with my PC to avoid any bootloader corruption

    @SlyCoopers hm.. feels painful. Maybe I'll give CPU governor a try again... But I've never understood the stuff. I do see from Battery Stats sometimes CPU guess up to 2.6ghz for no reason and most of the time it's at 1.6 but AFAIK it's not doing anything that needs they much power: devRant, Chrome, Gmail

    @SlyCoopers ok just installed EX, apparently I've tried it before but had (and all don't) any idea what I was doing...

    So just pick a non interactive option?

    Why still at 1.2 with screen on.... And seems it's not Deep Sleeping much....

    @SlyCoopers how much Deep sleep do you get? Before restart, mines was on for 7days, but only 1.5days deep sleep... doesn't make any sense.... plus Grenify is supposed to force it into DS whenever screen is off....

    @SlyCoopers guess I'll have to try it out, maybe disable Greenify. Honestly before you mentioned EX, I thought all that stuff was like voodoo, never did anything that Greenify wasn't doing already...

    Still would be better if the OS just told me which app is killing the phone.... and not let it hide under Android OS/Kernel....

    @SlyCoopers hey do you sometimes get random reboots? Lately I've been getting a lot either when the screen turns on or while in an app

    @SlyCoopers thanks... wiping my phone.... prolly wont do that... till I can get some sort of upgrade.

    I just noticed it was happening a lot more recently, thought it my be related to the EX Kernal app.
