Before the inevitable 'you're probably just not pulling your weight at home' accusations... I'm the sole earner, she's at home all day with the kids. I get it, it's a stressful job. But so is mine, unfortunately my time outside the house appears to be considered as leisure time, so when I get home it's 'my turn to work'. Yes I do home chores too, but the list of jobs one can invent seemingly never ends. Ok let's balance things; I tell her to go out and have rest or leisure time, then I have mine too. Not good enough, the kids need her 24/7. A neurotic martyr syndrome, that we are all forced to suffer.
I just miss those days I could spend a couple of hours on a project; would be a great de-stresser. -
Datamind562yA compromise might be in order. You can talk to your wife and try to block out personal time throughout the week. She can give you 4 hours of alone time on a Wednesday afternoon where she takes care of the kids, and you reciprocate on another day. 4 hours of completely uninterrupted time barring emergencies. This boundary must be maintained for it to work.
Shift the mentality of “who has it worse?” to “how can we work as a team to make our lives a little easier?”.

"You're always on the computer".
No, but I am continually trying to spend *some* time on personal projects before being interrupted 10 minutes in, to be forcibly given a list of jobs that are on *your* agenda. There is a difference.
