Imagine: It's the year 2109.

You pay a subscription of $2.00/week to be able to shut off your alarm.

You open up your laptop and after watching 5 un-skippable ads, Windows 35 boots up so you can start working.

You start VSCode and it requires you to watch an ad, to boot up.

You pay a subscription of $29.99/month to get full access to your keyboard.

You pick up your mobile phone and you have to pay a subscription of $49.99/month to be able to unlock your phone as many times as you want.

Your mobile network allows you to make 1 phone call free for the day, post which you have to pay $1.50 per call. Data costs are seperate and its sold to you as a package, labled as an "Offer".

Your salary is compared to peanuts even though tech has gone beyond its limits.

Life is Good.

    Windows 10 is still the last version of Windows.

    And Windows has a "safe text" feature which prevents you from writing anything that is considered politically incorrect or not woke or otherwise unwanted in your country.

    There is a paid service by Microsoft to enable this feature for iPhone and Android.

    Your right mouse button has stopped working.

    It is not broken or anything, but the manufacturer hasn't updated their SSL certificate yet, so your mouse cannot connect to their cloud.

    It has been two weeks.

    The marketing team just posted a cheerful ad for a fun new product on their social. It is a mouse.

    Suddenly a notification from Windows alerts you, again, to update your mouse driver or the device will be disabled for your protection. You click "Postpone (2 left)".

    Your smart toilet (preinstalled by all construction companies except high end ones) needs to update. It enters "low flo" mode if it doesnt. One 'bulk' flush per day.
    Pay $39.99 immediately to update, or "postpone (2 left)".
