As a PhD student, I do not dare have hobbies. I mean, I don't exactly have time for it. I could make time for it, but then the phd would take forever.

    Back in my grad school days, "sleeping more than 6 hours in a single day" was considered a hobby. "Eating while doing nothing else" was another.

    Is it always that bad? I have an option to do a doctorate but I have yet to see a happy PhD student, and my Instagram and Twitter suggestions are swamped with academic meme pages.

    @mashi PhD students usually get way sadder in an office job position. And I am yet to see an actually happy job worker, one that is not just smiling and waving for the needy managers.
