@cafecortado i like newer music too and rolling stones was BEFORE me lol my mother listened to them.
but come one they're still on the radio, on the internet in movies come on ! -
Expecting specific knowledge - it doesn't matter what - is wrong.
And some people just listen to their music.
Even if there are songs in movies and so on - that's NOT knowing a band. You can't expect someone recognize everything.
Especially if it's an individual area with personal taste like music.
Also, you should realize there are that many humans, everyone with their own way to live, bla bla ... that you'll never be right with such "knowledge requirements".
Or whatever you try to achieve here. -
@Psychosadistic bla bla Skrillex trash bla bla kendrick Lamar bla bla 1000 one hit wonders probably far less bla bla sex symbol for two years with no talent bla bla Billie eilish
It would say whatever it could to disagree
Now
Rolling stones
Alice in chains
Fleetwood Mac
The Beatles
The carpenters
Three dog night
Snoop dog
Dr Dre
Aerosmith
Etc
You'd have to have crawled back under your rock and hid there to not have heard of at least one of them
And likely as even happens to me ofren you know the songs but not who sings them
This era may have produced some good musicians but I'm not hearing people listen to them lol -
@AvatarOfKaine
You didn't even think when answering ... gosh. Even if they HAVE TO BE that famous, you will never be able to set a requirement for - sorry - unnecessary knowlegde. It's called individualism that we can decide what to like or know.
I love some of them or know them at least. But I'm not that ignorant and expect someone to know them. It's right that the possibility is high, still it's a wrong way of thinking and living. Try, but fail with honor.
But what's the point or the actual benefit for you with such a weak statement? Or your goal? You got nothing but showing off your whatever-nonsense.
I'm more into metal-/deathcore, slam and so on than rock, rap, hip-hop. Sometimes classical music, melodic metal, game music ...
I can appreciate them. Just because you feel a such strong bond to these musicians doesn't mean that they're good, right or even music. Imagine why - because everyone will have a more different or same opinion.
You ain't right because you feel that way. That's a bad behaviour :)
funny to me, i don't believe a young person who says they never heard of the rolling stones.
we're practically frozen in the era where the only decent musicians were practically on life support while performing lol
