So i am thinking of diving into the world of web development😅😅 ...
What would you suggest me to start with?
Node.js or ruby on rails?
I've heard ruby on rails is for very specific people. People who work in specific companies. I am not sure if its true or not.
I have experience with html and css
And a bit of JavaScript too

RoR, Django on Python, Java EE, C# .Net (no particular order).

And no, RoR is not very specific to anything or anybody.

Current trend is to pick a JS framework, and attach your frontend to your backend services. So server-side page rendering is fading out, paving way for more developers to learn frontend in native web tech, rather than learning a template engine

@asgs i am kinda good with java. So it'd actually make sense to pick up java EE right?
But how popular is it these days? Like in comparison with RoR or node.js.

These days single page web apps are becoming a lot more popular.
The server ends up being a thin rest/websokcet api, connecting your db tonyour frontend js.

@Rshman1903 sure. RoR hasn't got the excitement it used to have. JEE has always been in demand in enterprises, so go for it
