asgs115632yThey don't know how to manage their systems well, so money spent on hardware is better than money and energy spent in troubleshooting their issues

In my company we all have 16GB laptops except those who have to work with Android Studio who go their RAM bumped to 32GB for some reason
-
Can you just place an order for more ram and see what happens? It's so cheap that it might just go through no questions asked.
-
Our manager buys all our machines with 32gb for the devs. Not sure about the rest of the company. Running out of ram would be a hidden cost that could quickly overcome the cost of the ram in the first place.

dyslxr2302y@electrineer we all have using macs so... its basically getting a new ones when devs started to feel the 8gigs

james2k342yEvery time I see someone complain about RAM, I am instantly possessed by the ghost of some engineer from the 60-70s with 256KB storage and 4KB RAM saying "Back in my day, you entitled brats..."

@catgirldev
Rather evolution of hardware and thus possibilities.
Complexity is just a side effect imho.
Why higher positions have the 16GB laptop and 8GB for the rest of the devs? why the fuck?
