blem1410668y4K monitor itself would be nice to have, but I don't really get it how "4 inputs at once" will help to code. I guess it allows to connect 4 PCs to one monitor, so it will be only usefull if you need to connect some other HW (in most cases SSH works fine too).

Skayo88598yOh wow I'm dreaming:
Left Half: Visual Studio Code
Right Half - Bottom: Terminal
Right Half - Top: Browser with Docs and YouTube -
Kimmax111068y@Skayo sure, but that are 4 independent physical inputs, which require physical connections to the gpu. Either you hook up multiple pc's + keyboard, or one gpu that can handle 4 outputs. But in that case you could just split the screen anyways.
I could think of a use case using KVM but that's it. -
Kimmax111068y@stop why not split the screen using virtual displays directly? Or use the god damn cursor to move the window to the desired position?
This display is fine, for it use cases. Better coding is not one of them. -
Just use a tiling window manager, more efficient and more versatile. Even Windows has a way of snapping windows to the corners of your screen.
-
Mine can do this. It's less efficient than you'd think, mostly because desktop sizing. I'd recommend a good window manager over multiple inputs

I have a 4k 28inch monitor that I generally use for coding and it is amazing!!
Having space of 4 screens in one is great.
Wasn't even that expensive 350 euros for Philips 60 hz -
I can see so many uses.. One PHPStorm, one terminal, one browser, one debugging browser.. And then on another workspace one google/stackoverflow, one one for all references tabs, one for YT music, one for all the different messengers (windows split)
For now I have to stick with 9 workspaces on my laptop.. -
@aBrokenDonut that's 14" per sub-display, exactly what my laptop has, it would fit perfectly aside :o
-
@oscarascal oh that is indeed perfect. Only issue is that I sometimes lose track of the mouse so I enabled that pressing ctrl shows me where my pouse is haha
