This is my first time experiencing agile development with its daily scrum meets, and I hate it already.

You'll feel better if you do some independent research on agile methodologies. Agile implementation is often broken from day one because of wrongheaded interests behind the initiative, which ends up making a lot of teams hate it.

Scrum especially is heavily abused. I've seen too many people just borrow the words, use sprints as little more than a build schedule, decide in advance that cross functional teams aren't for them, and have managers running the stand ups.

And if anyone starts comparing one team's velocity to another's, RUN THE FUCK AWAY.
