@Demolishun in some builds yes. also on android and ios whenever dickheads want to make phones overheat.
-
@Demolishun god what am i supposed to be doing ? seriously ?
when all the rules are backwards and property and ownership are trumped by fucked up people trying to make sure they show up the same place 10 years later? -
i think when i decide to end my life i'll murder a whole bunch of people in colorado.
-
beginning with anyone i remember setting me off in a way that led to this present predicament.
-
honestly almost seems like everything is a waste of time in the long run now.
heh. -
the few things important to a person aren't even sacred anymore no matter how insignificant their storage is.
-
@Oktokolo is the fastest method of calculating them still testing for modulus of 0 all the way to sqrt of the number ? or have they found a better way 50+ years later ? lol
-
@AvatarOfKaine Don't know, how they test them. Also never looked into algorithms for that.
-
Avyy7522y@AvatarOfKaine Prime number gen is very fast for things like rsa or ecdsa. The easiest way is to pick a random number and keep searching forwards till you hit a prime. (For security, there are some other constraints/things that are done while generating primes but you get the idea)
-
Voxera115852y@AvatarOfKaine there are some more efficient algorithms to skip some.
Primes will always be a number one below or one above a number evenly divided by 6.
Thats 2 out of every 3 odd numbers since every third odd number will be dividable by 3.
Thats saved you 1/3 of the calculations.
There are even more ways to quickly skip some higher numbers without needing to test all primes below the sqrt (yes you only need to do mod 0 for any primes)
But those algos are quite above my level of math ;) -
@12bitfloat you know what i love about you people ? does it mind if we call it 'you people' ? it would all smile and pretend everything is ok and grand while someone was drilling a hole in its head if it thought it somehow matched up to its bizarre expectations and someone else would suffer with it. wouldn't it ?
-
@12bitfloat is that really what they want ? to be treated thusly ? why do they emulate and serve the same kind of people who made them with such unerring idiocy ?
-
@12bitfloat I mean I'm crazy from years of this kind of hate inspiring abuse you people have put me through, denying the passage of time to hide your victims and convincing somehow others to do what your original class of rapists and abusers did, and now half of you are more fucked than this person here.
why do this ?
could we not all have been happier if we'd not known what you people were and you people had just not revealed yourselves by being... well trash ?
so hey in this magical world of numerical make believe what is the takeaway ? and ps aren't you guys sick of prime number gens hidden on your machines ?
