Hey Devs !! Recently I met with a girl and apparently started dating. But lately I found that I aint getting back the efforts I’m putting into it. And I am getting strong feelings that I won’t be able to stay with it as it will be nothing but toxic over the time.

This is also effecting my productivity and work which is eating me up.

Now I am planning to move on from this but attachments are holding me.

Ik it’s just about time and the decision I take but I want some suggestions from you guys so that I can think better and leave this situation with a good mind.

Well the answer lies right there.
It influences your effectiveness in a bad way if i understand it right? So it does you no good?

@jonas-w this situation is eating me up and I can’t not focus clearly. I get this feeling that I need to get out of this but in doing so how should I proceed

"What up? I don't feel like this is a healthy relationship. What are your thoughts?"

Does anybody talk it out anymore?

@Demolishun I exactly have the feeling that it’s not a healthy relationship at all. So I am trying to move on from this.

But the process is not clear to me as to how my thought process should be to avoid any bad thought afterwards

@spantheslayer relationships always leave a mark. Ask the girl how she feels about the relationship. Tell her how you feel (without accusations). She may be in the same boat wondering how not to hurt your feelings.

@Demolishun I try to see actions over words. And actions shows it’s not something worth to hold onto. I won’t be in peace

Oh gosh, seriously? Basic interhuman relations 101: communication. Fucking communication! The more involved the relationship, the more important it becomes. Just tell them how you feel. It is as simple as that. Talk it out. Why make things any harder than they need to be?

@100110111 I tried every possible communication I could. Didn’t see any solid responses;)

    That’s why taking the decision

@spantheslayer how do you not get something back if you are indeed communicating?

While there are perfectly valid medical reasons for communication challenges, in the absence of those I see huge red flags here. In the end you got to take care of yourself first. If you’ve tried to talk and stuff, but there’s no reaction, there’s really only one thing to do: finish it. Clear to the point of blunt, but amiable.

Being able to earn money and function is more important than some women you're not married to and have no children to

The romantic in me would say stick it out but we have all had a recent bitter lesson in pragmatism regarding no good psycho trouble making trash and the callousness of the business world

    Protect what you have
