Symantec anti virus flagged Windows Defender Definition as untrustworthy lol

Mine would block the Firefox updater every week without fail.

MSSE > Symamtic

Common sense > all

My opinion about anti virus programs on Windows: If you use the internet actively for more than 3yrs you probably developed a sense to detect "bad software" and "good software". Before I switched entirely to Linux I used to have no anti virus program, because who needs that cpu/ram/network sucking shit, that annoys me if I debug a C# program. (why the fuck)

report symantec to ms as virus, and report ms as virus to symantec. wait to see what happens. be aware that in average, AV sofware detects some critical windows file as malware twice per year, and kills windows machines around the world.

The signature files do probably contain little bits of virus binaries, though.
