Just got my Linux dev environment set up, even got an alias working that would launch all the software I needed to test my code. Then today decided to change primary drives. At least I know how to set it back up next time, right?

    if you could connect both drives at once, you could copy the partition with the system, install a new bootloader to the drive and hurray. Then you can adjust partition sizes to span desired space of the new drive

    @magnusi unfortunately it's past the point of no return now. I knew there would be migration options, but I wanted a fresh install of my distro anyhow. Thanks for the info anyway!
