Please, can you give me tips on what to talk about when asked “tell me about yourself” during job interviews?

I’ve been on both sides of the interview process. My honest recommendation to you is just be yourself and be honest about what you know and don’t know.

1. Your name, and current role
2. Your strengths and achievements

“I enjoy charity work, sky-diving, building open source operating systems and lying in interviews.”

Ask the interviewer “ya like dags?”

Narrate your story from school (or whenever you started your career) until now, briefly.

I believe in equal opportunity, I like charity work, I used to attend a workshop where we made sandwiches and distributed them by bike to homeless people, I often take an active role in bottom-up organizations such as worker's unions.

I never said that actually but if I ever interview with a fake liberal company I'd love to enthusiastically present a monologue like this and watch their reaction change.

I'm sorry, I've moved on from my old life and the judge said the records are sealed.

Stand out. Talk about groups or events you participate in. Don't repeat what's on paper. Say something like "I always like getting this question because there's some things I'm somewhat passionate about that don't necessarily need to take up resume space, but I feel like do a great job of sharing who I am."

Your CV is what should tell an employer about yourself, so they're asking you to articulate what you said in your CV. Try to give more details on complex and interesting parts.
