It is sometimes. As long as you are not the one who will be held responsible.
We had this server issue once, and i was on the dev team, i figured out the problem and knew how to resolve it but the "boss" insisted that the "experts" (devops guys) find and fix it. So i found myself a corner and enjoyed a couple of hours of break.
Biggest challenge was to accept that no matter where you go, what you do, you will have to deal with stupid people.
They come in all ranges, starting from hr, interns, juniors, coworkers, code reviewers, seniors, managers, boss, clients.
And in order to grow in life, you have to learn to deal with them. Better even if you could make them a little less stupid.
