What's the most nonsensical thing someone ever told you during your dev career?

"It's not slow! If it takes less then 30mins it's great! Much better then what we have now.."

It was a feature in a web app and the line came from the senior specialist! Fought like hell with the backend devs and redesigned the whole stack with them and achieved the same on less than 1s... He was amazed...

Bright side, that made him respect me and from then on out working with that guy was amazing! To be fair he is an old dog with 30+ years of experience and web apps were a new thing for him...
