Well said. Slack is multiple times better than Teams

I actually like it. Better than Slack, but video calls are just not as smooth as with zoom.

"microsoft teams" is: "pathological overengineering" meets "pathological overmanagement" meets "the last rotting remnants of skype" meets "yet another terribly borked up slack clone" meet "lul, everything in the cloud, so we control all your data and whether or not you can do your work"

I've found your can somewhat lessen the suffering by using the web app instead of native.

    Somewhat.

@tosensei we need the uncloud as an answer to the cloud.

Call it the "silver lining" movement, because the more you think about it, the less the name makes any sense and therefore the more it will annoy people.

"But we have 9391047482910 machines running Microsoft Teams™ at Totally Not Microsoft© with absolutely zero issues, have you checked if your corporate laptop meets the minimum criteria?"

Agreed. My biggest pain point with teams (being a non teams organization company) is everytime I join our clients calls, I have to refresh the meeting invite (by browser) quite a lot of times until it finally reaches the point of asking me for my name and audio options.

next to that, there is 2FA codes required to join the meetings as a user. Today, for example I joined the meeting, signed into microsoft with my non microsoft account, passed a 2FA check and again, was met with another challenge when i'm 3 minutes away from joining the call and possibly running late.

Long story short, it does suck and it's UX is extremely terrible.

Also everyone here is raving on Slack but in reality, Slack has had many system breaches and it does not feel "inviting" or a place to have fun and work..

The new age is discord, our agency has been using it for more than 4 years now and it's actually pumped up work activity and jokes because of all the fun features it has.
