@Vikram I think he's saying the comment wasn't very good; you're telling people not to google something because you did it yourself and to just live with the implementation when someone else could very well find a solution or alternative way of doing it that you may have overlooked. So the irony is that this should be a good comment, but it's not.

Yep! The message is really demotivating to the maintenance dev, who will have to fix this method in a few months.

Instead of saying "let's live with this method for a while", why don't you add a link to the most promising solution you tried before, and why they didn't work, and with a message how you think the method should be improved.
