Apple’s ecosystem is restricting, Windows 11 is shit and I don’t like Linux much.

Doomed, aren’t I?

Linux is okay when you get used to it.

The good thing with Linux is that you get many different flavours, from compiling yourself (Gentoo) over tinkering a lot (Arch) and tinkering less (Manjro) to "just works" (Mint).

There is an frourtg os used by an FAANG:
    OpenBSD

@stop That's what you use if you think Linux works too well on anything other than servers, or you want to re-live the shitty 1990s Linux experience.

@Fast-Nop or want an really secure server.

@stop Yeah BSD is good for servers, that's true. Unfortunately, not for desktops, let alone laptops, because they don't give a shit.

@Fast-Nop I'm very upset that you didn't include the distro that I use. It's just simply the best!

    Whats wrong with linux?

@bighead Plenty. But in this case they’re probably just tired of having to tinker.

Linux has 1000 flavors. What don't you like?
  • 1
@danielstaleiny That it has 1000s of flavours 😪

If you really hate them all, freeBSD?
  • 2
@Cyanide But they're pretty easy to narrow down depending on what you want. If you want something that just works, don't want to tinker, and want a traditional desktop, I'd always recommend Mint.

@Root there are "plenty" distros with almost no tinkering also If you dont like to tinker and are a dev you should concider if you really chose the right skilltree
