Possibly the start of a very bad adventure: I'm helping my brother-in-law set up a website for a business he'd beginning with his wife. I'll be needing to provide him a simple cms & shopping cart that he can manage. No payments as we want to just use PayPal so as to avoid having to actually manage user data & credit card information.

Wish me well....

Also advices appreciated cause otherwise, I'm gonna use a simple Drupal or WordPress site with like 1 theme and 0 plug ins.

Relax, just point him to shopwired.co.uk and forget about it. If you don't you will be on call forever. I dont do shops anymore, you never finish and always end up out of pocket. I just use shopwired (UK based).

Use Shopify. All of this is taken care of for you.

    Disclaimer: I work for Shopify.

@khaledh I'm exploring Shopify as my new platform for e-commerce clients; however, I want to use the page builder for pages other than the homepage, do you know if this is possible? It's the only thing holding me back :s

@helloworld @khaledh I appreciate your suggestions, I've looked into both of these options. For now I want to use the opportunity to grow my webdev experience and as an opportunity to have more in common with my Brother in law. We do however have those sites (and similar sites) in mind should we decide a generic host isn't sufficient for his needs. Since his business literally hasn't had a single customer were going to cheaper hosting with me to help for now, and after he's had a couple sales (since it's a tour guide business single sales are quite profitable) I'll encourage him to move to those sites as a long term solution.
