SpaceX just landed their first reused first stage and is in the process of recovering the fairings.
I watched the livestream and cried like a lil bitch.
TODAY HISTORY WAS MADE
I can't wait to talk with my kids about today. And I can't even imagine what we'll be capable of at that time.
It took SpaceX 15 years to pull that off and I can't wait to see more. I can't even think about the amount of engineering and developing involved in this project.
Things like that let me believe in humanity.
HAVE A NICE FUCKING DAY <3

    (Footage above is actually from an older landing, todays landing footage will be available very soon)

    @Kimmax I wondered how it got out so fast :d

    Yeah it's pretty amazing what's been done to achieve that.
    It's really a shame though that it takes a kind of crazy philanthropist billionaire to do things like that. There are so many more richer people and companies but nothing really interesting or revolutionary comes out like this...

    Blue Origin was actually first :p

    I like the new space race

    @Linux I think there is a difference. Blue origin was low orbit/atmosphere, while space x rocket went into space then came back.
    But yeah both are good for future spatial technologies :)

    @Linux They were first at a much simpler and quite different thing.

    SpaceX really just made history today.

    Watched that thing live, it was fucking amazing!

    @Strannch yeah, one can just imagine where we would be right now if the world would life in peace and everyone, every country could come together to work on this kind of stuff. Not forgetting the huge amount of extra money thats not wasted on war

    @Strannch
    Yeah, Thats true!

    @nickpapoutsis
    Well, it is not the first time they have done it thou. They did it once atleast

    @Linux Right, they did it before. But never before they reused a first stage and landed it _again_.
    This first stage has been to space twice, thats the revolutionary thing

    @Strannch if Stan Lee taught us anything, it always take some crazy billionaires :P
