I started contributing to my first open-source project today by branching youtube-dl and writing an extractor.

Been there - done that
Project turned out pretty neat, but as soon as I got to a point where I could really start implementing cool features I started my new job and I don't have anymore time to work on it - or when I do have some time I'm too exhausted from all the coding before

@antons @Kimmax I just see his comment as a 'similar'/'been there too, bro!' experience sharing which is very nice to do on a platform like this imo :).

@linuxxx imo it sounded like he was trying to send off a negative vibe about this topic. While i for instance think its great he is contributing to open source software
