I have 7 accounts (3 local providers, uni mail, 2 gmails) connected to single Gmail account. 3 local providers send/insert 80-120 spam messages into the inbox (i have a few accounts where i can't change email, and use them as junk inboxes)
Gmail filters out 99% of that spam, with a bit of help from 2 rules that i had to set up. Also filters most spam that i get directly.
Have you tried reporting unwanted emails as spam? After a few it should learn and create a rule to drop it into spam folder automatically. -
Xoka12803y@impune-pl yes, even I'm also surprised actually. I've not just been reporting spammy emails, but also blocked those emails but each week, 2-3 spammy emails reaches my inbox somehow which is really frustrating cause I use that email as my personal email

hitko31483y@sariel That's just because you didn't use that workmail to sign up for countless websites where spammers could find it (yet). Spam filters can only do so much, that's why you use throw-away addresses for everything you can't completely trust or use on a daily basis.
-
sariel85343y@hitko this I can completely agree with.
The biggest difference though, a "free" email is only "free" because they automatically sell your address when you make your account.
Don't believe it? Make a Google or MSN email and don't use it for a year other than sending an email to yourself.
My paid email account was spam free for at least 3 years before someone I know "signed me up" for one of those dumbass loot crate things.
Lucky the spam filter on workmail is tough as nails(sometimes too tough).
Now I just get the spam newsletters I signed up for and question if I really need them every time I check my mail. -
jeeper59663yYou must be on a list somewhere. I get almost no spam.
Sometimes gmail filters too aggressively. -
hitko31483y@sariel I actually have one Gmail account like that which I had for about 15 years now. The only third-party site I ever used it for was FB, and I get absolutely no spam on that email.
-
Xoka12803yBTW, this is how those spammy emails look like. & You know the worst part? You see the yellow sign on the second email? If I hover over that sign, it shows, "Important according to Google Magic". I mean, seriously?
Even my Yahoo mail works perfectly, no spam for like 10+ years now.

Dear Gmail, you guys always claim to be the "best" free email provider, yet each week my inbox gets filled with spammy emails, even after marking those emails as spam for the past 1 year. I'm tired of your bullshits. Fucking fix it already!
