I hate it that Chrome is more popular than Chromium though 😞

@linuxxx But, at least Iceweasel is in the picture!

Safari would be Samuel L Jackson ??
If I knew that I wouldn't have watched pulp fiction and the avengers so many times and felt unreliable

@Jop- I don't entirely agree because Chromium is Chrome WITHOUT Google's spy thingies

@Jop- I used to have links for this (not anymore, fml) but if you Google (oh, the irony) for something like 'Google chrome spying' you'll find a lot of links. Too badly I don't have the exact links anymore though so I understand if you think this is bullshit. On the other hand, Google is known to spy on users (email scanning, ad targeting etc) so it makes a lot of sense.

@linuxxx One thing you should find and which is publicly known is the fact that every chrome installation comes comes with a unique id which is sent to Google with other metadata with each request you make. Same here though, I don't have the links anymore (used to store those bookmarks in my Google account until I closed it)

@Jop- I should really try to do this with wireshark myself. I'll favourite this rant and will post results as soon as I get some (might take a little because of much to do but I'll mention you even if the results are clean)

@Jop- One thing to add, it's publicly known that Google adds proprietary code to chromium before releasing. I will post a link to that in a minute.

@Jop- I'm not saying that those packages are spying but this does say that Google adds proprietary packages before releasing:

@Jop- Very true. The main difference imo is that I'd trust Mozilla more because they're not by default a data selling company while Google pretty much is.

@Jop- True. One question though because opinions vary on this. Would you consider signing in to a browser (chrome/chromium) and that browser being able to send everything you do back to Google linked to that account as spying? Honest question here.

Oh wait I finally found a link about this stuff. I personally consider this spying:

This is so old it was done before Matthew McConnaheughs career turned around. He's good nowadays.

People seeing this after mostly knowing him from True Detective and Dallas Buyers Club will thinks it's completely off 😂

@Jop- The Google voice thing can't have been in the chromium thing I think since they only allow libraries with open source licenses and Google voice (or OK or however it's called) would violate that
