I guess she learned her lesson....
... And doesn't want you to make the same painful experience. -
I actually worked a year for a nonexistent company who kept delaying the contract-signing bit until I eventually left. They promised peanuts and paid exactly that, so I'm not mad just baffled.

@lbfalvy They had lots of expensive infrastructure and a complex product that was supposedly built for a transnational which I'm confident would not involve itself in such basic scams, so it must've been really inefficient as a money laundering operation. They were definitely saving on workforce though, for the year that I was involved the only workers were two classmates and I, all high school students. Production basically stopped when we had exams.

I still don't feel safe including it on my CV, but it was a valuable lesson about why every progressive initiative in my country meets pointless resistance and either expands internationally or eventually collapses.

You know, we joke with that, but here in Canada, couple of years ago, multiple MILLIONS bank records were leaked by an employee.
Including account numbers (not amounts tho), name, email and secret questions with answers.
I was in a subway when I heared a woman talk to a scammer. I didn't hear scam part.
But woman part :
* Hello, this is me
....
* Yes this is my account"
....
"I've already completed security questions"
....
"<name of her dog probably, whateve>"
...
"What transfer ?!"
...
"No I didn't do that"
....
"Oh so it's like a security deposit to get that money back?"
...
"Yes, ofc, give me a couple of minutes, I'm near a store, I can get an amazon card"
...
"Oh thank you so much !"
(She left subway)
Welp, HOW you can explain people that in NO FUCKING WAY, any (ANY) bank will ask for an amazon card.
They had her name, her account number, her "secret" question and answer. HOW a normal person (Not IT) can make a difference ?
