    Do machines have feelings?

Strictly speaking, no. But in the future we might be able to develope them enough for them to be able to emulate the process of thinking.

When you try and define what 'thinking' is, i think you may arrive at the same conclusion as me.

    For the ones meditating:

    Do machines dream?
  • 1
I think that machines will never learn how to create sth new. They will know schema, but not invent anything.
  • 2
    We are machines.
    >Dreams are just garbage pointers whose address is supposed to be null.
    >Feelings are just hormones released by our brain. Pain is the same as well.
    >We are incapable of "imagining new stuff". All we do is imitate and improvise.
    >We were created just like we are creating machines now.

P.S. This is just a thought.

@Ferror so wrong...look at the beaten go game, last moves were creative and "surprising", the go heads say...

Maybe we don't build the real "thinking" machines...but I'm pretty sure, we'll build the machines building that machine...

@tambo but i mean that probably they will never invent for example new type of gaining energy or new way to reach other planets. I'm not master of machines. That's my speculation

@Ferror guess we'll never know that anyway...they'll kill us before ;)

@tomeb some advancement have been achieved in the field. Examples include face that can be stimulated. :)

@tambo 😀 that may be far away from us.

@itch96 🤓 Yah, when I hear Elon Musk talking about how we may be living in simulation, I think he has some pretty great points. 😀

@tambo Yes, we can look at IBM Watson, AI Assistants on our smartphones. And they can interpret complex natural interactions and have become pretty smart with the advancements.
