I know the feeling...
Same happens to me. I send emails about something, make documentation...
Yet when they have to discuss something to be changed on the program I work on, nobody ask my opinion...
Only to hear later, that it is impossible to do it, or it is a problem in the interface of an other software.
When the second one is the case, I like to watch everybody struggle to fix it.
That will learn you from telling me that I can't code and Cobol was much more complicated.
(Did I mention that he also types on a keyboard like it is a freaking type-machine from the 70's ? 😠)
So apparently there was a prod issue all day today because some server app couldn't start up.
The error was caused by missing Params...
And seems everyone that got asked to look at it are pretty clueless.
I looked at the text msgs now cuz my phone wouldn't stop vibrating from notifs (yes it got that bad) and I'm thinking, of all the ppl you guys could've asked, no one reached out to me... Who well knows exactly it works, and how to fix it.
But the issue with the team is everyone works on everything but most people have no idea how the apps actually work...
Jack of all trades, master of none...
Anyways, sitting on the sidelines watching the chaos ain't too bad either....
