People fucking think that working for a fucking startup is a fucking cake walk. Every person making 6 figure salaries but no one fucking wants to put in an effort to work slightly harder! Show up at 10 and leave a 4 and yeah v'll get funded. And the worst fucking part is no one wants to check something as simple as fucking work emails after work! Fucking get your acts together or just walk the fuck out the door.

I know work life balance is important but don't expect that when you know the company is treading harsh waters and needs everyone to get their shit together so we get funded!

It's not only in startups, but in every company. 60% of the staff is just doing their job, the old rats work their asses off. Newlings are just working 8h00 to 16h30 and complaining if they have to work longer than that lol

I am a newling myself although in my current company, but I am happy to fulfill a task even if I need to stay longer. Sometimes I am on location from 5h00 till 22h00 and I love doing it. You just need to find your passion and feel like you are part of the company to bring it to a brighter future. If you lack these last 2 feelings, quit your job now and seek something else.

I agree! But for larger companies it doesn't really matter if a small part of the workforce takes it a bit slow.
For a 10 member startup with funding drying out, it won't work. You are either all the way in or out!

I completed my internship with a startup company. It's different with your experience haha. They love doing work and sometimes they sleep there just to finish their tasks. I sit almost next to the CEO and sometimes the developers teach him programming (because he's not a technical person, more on the business side).

@jerjer that maybe work if you're single, but try to tell your wife and kids that you're gonna stay 8 hours more because you like it.

I'm love programming as much as any other person here but as you get older time are worth a lot. If I'm gonna work my ass off i expect good pay for it.

@Meei but you'd do good work though right. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜€
Not treat it like an established company and burn resources because you're just an "employee"

@Meei correct, when you get older. Time gets shorter and you need to get your priorities straight I know. I am living without kids, so I know it's not possible for everyone
