After so many bad supervisors I can't help but wonder if I'm the problem actually

What problems have you been having?

If for instance you're finding that they're all creepy weirdos, no, it's definitely not you, that's on them. If however you're finding that they're saying you need to work more independently and they can't hold your hand every step of the way - perhaps there's something in that, and you just need to get a bit more independent at doing research (it takes practice.) Or it could be anywhere in between of course.

@AlmondSauce just radio silence, mostly. people in my current job are pretty cordial, but i depend on my senior for orientation, and he's not answering me. the thing is, next month I'll have to do his work, because he'll be on vacation, and he's not showing me how to do it
