First post...starting a new job today, and I will be working as a JavaScript developer (Node, angular). I only worked with Java before this job and my only JS experience is with little side projects. I am super excited to get start working with new technologies. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Yeah these languages are all sorta the same. They hired you because you can think the way a coder does: problem solving etc.. code is just syntax, which you can learn fairly easily compared to learning how to think outside the box to tackle complex problems. You should check out vuejs, it's getting a lot of love lately in the js community and i personally like it too.

@Tvercruysse yea vue has a bunch of stars in GitHub and looks really cool. Unfortunately this shop is using angular and node, but that could change in the future since this is the R&D department.
