I broke the toilet seat on day 2 at the office and have been watching it get worse and worse until it silently got replaced two weeks later.

Oops.

@rEaL-jAsE i had really bad leg cramps from exercise that day and what i did to get on the toilet was less sitting down and more dropping onto the seat like im in the WWE trying to bodyslam my opponent

    multiple times

Looks like you're a good dev: doing load tests, but first on some non-critical shit. 😇

Fun fact: only after you break a toilet and get your skin pinched by it you realise how important it is to change it immediately.

Happened once, if that shit pinches you, you either start bleeding or get a red line on the cheek for 2-3 weeks…

    Well, I get you.

I have no idea how to get in touch with whoever does the repairs at the office and I'm sure as hell not gonna ask around saying "I broke rhe toilet - who can I contact?"

@piratefox Just rip off some TP and literally "paper over" the gap.

@Fast-Nop I see you are a mcguyver too!

I am a dumb one tho, so I just thought: “come on, what can a little crack like that do?”

Edit: my solution was duct tape (ofc).
Multiple layers of it, to be precise
