It's all "Ops" so there's a grey line between "tech ops" and "DevOps" and you can do tech ops easily and have a better idea how to... (Can't remember the right words but what I heard is turn on/off a device)

I've been in jobs where engineers took on IT support stuff because they thought it'd make them more valuable and get them a promotion. I was just like, I did that in my gap year. As opposed to helping people with engineering problems, those skills they did a degree to develop. Mad.
