Don't get the logic where good understanding of algorithms is only needed for backend developers.

Because it's always the backend which is either fucked or blamed

I do believe that good understanding of algorithms is a bit of overrated too. Having 18 years in this industry I've met some serious rockstars with close to none algorithmical knowledge, yet they were fucking outstanding doing their job.

Maybe I'm weird, but I think everyone else misread this. He's saying he doesn't understand why people thing knowing algorithms well I'd only for backend, not frontend too.
