Maybe I'm an oldschool guy but I'd prefer a scale like critical/fatal, error, warning, info/notice, and optionally some trace/debug level.
For an IDE/editor... Fatal would be if there was some problem with the IDE itself, error for nonsense syntax, warning for risky code and other code inspection stuff, notice for style & code quality tips. -
But if we're doing weak warnings, there should also be a final warning.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO MISTYPE THAT AGAIN, I'M GOING TO CLOSE YOUR IDE AND HARD RESET YOUR GIT BRANCH, YOUNG MAN. DON'T MAKE ME TAKE AWAY YOUR KEYBOARD FOR A WEEK!
