I do mobile apps, started with iOS and now focusing on Android as well. Planning to focus on machine learning in the near future. Any of you have a good recommendation on where to start ?

@kjone if you want a deep understanding I know a great, short textbook

@tylerhartwig which one will that be? :)

@kjone "learning from data" it's like $30 on Amazon, it'll show you why machine learning works and everything

Some linear algebra, derivative calculus and statistics is certainly helpful if you know those things

@tylerhartwig yes match is not a problem, also I know the concept of mi ... but will give it a look ... thanks

@kjone I'm in a ML course right now, it's awesome to understand the underworkings of it

We're actually building up the various learning algorithms

@tylerhartwig I can imagine... that sounds pretty nice... that is what i will try to do as well ... get the concept to a in depth knowledge and then be able to apply what i learned in real life scenarios

@kjone this book is probably good for you then, if you want that sort of approach, it's not crazy lengthy :)

I also trust it as the teacher who is teaching this course 9esearches machine learning

    He's also a great professor
